cc56 started in 2021 as a side project between a brand designer and a front-end engineer who kept being hired by the same clients.

We stay small on purpose. Every project is done by the two of us, start to finish, which means the person you talk to in the first call is the person who draws the logo or writes the CSS. We take on four to six projects a year.

How we work

1. Week one: listen. We read your support inbox, sit in on a sales call and use the product until something annoys us.
2. Weeks two to four: narrow. Two directions, not ten. Each shown on real screens with real content.
3. Build. We ship in small pieces to a preview URL you can open on your phone any time.
4. Hand over. Source files, documentation and a recorded walkthrough. No retainers required.

Tools

Figma, plain HTML and CSS, TypeScript, Astro and React where they earn their place. We care about performance budgets, semantic markup and WCAG 2.2 AA as a floor rather than a ceiling.
